Transpersonal Therapy is a sub-field or "school" of psychology that integrates the spiritual and transcendent aspects of the human experience with the framework of modern psychology. It is also possible to define it as a "spiritual psychology".
The transpersonal psychology model integrates the spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, physical and creative being into one complete element and addresses the six components equally for the purpose of treatment. It strives to discover divinity through our own humanity and is a by-product of a person’s growth and development. It deviates from the traditional models of psychotherapy in a sense that it doesn't focus on controlling the mind, instead it seeks liberating it.
